April 27th,

Today I read about 3/4ths of chapter 4. I learned about the history of IP addresses and why classes and subnet masks where invented as well as the logic behind how the work.

I just started reading about NAT. NAT is the acronym for Network Address Translation, the NAT is what allows many users to access the internet while not using very many public IP

addresses. Also the NAT helps to shield the hosts of a network from remote access from the internet cloud.

April 29th,

Today I was late to class because I had to get some nourishment to prepare myself for my rugby game this afternoon. When I got to class I ate quickly and got right down to work on reading more of Chapter 5 of my Cisco Course. I didnt have much time to get alot done but I did make forward progress and read a few more pages of the notes. I learned more about the ISR and its installation process.
